Inktober 2018: Week 4

Week 4 has been interesting to say the least. I’ve spent time catching up on commissions now that festival season is over, and so Inktober has been a bit backseat. I feel like I’m already doing lots of artwork, and some of the prompts just don’t do it for me this year. But, I’m still trucking along!

Day 22: Drain

This was a quick doodle because I just didn’t have time to do something bigger. I have lots of big ideas but the day is only so long.

Day 23: Muddy

I made a mud monster!

Day 24: Chop

If you didn’t know, I have always found stories of cannibalism and especially the wendigo fascinating. It may be because I grew up reading lots of arctic exploration novels and accounts. Yes, I realize that’s weird.

Day 25: Prickly

The prickly pear is a common sight here in Georgia. It grows well in the clay we have here where plants that need more nutrients wither. Just break off a piece, set it on the ground, and wait for it to grow.

Day 26: Stretch

Joker again! This time he’s in the beautiful drag disguise from Batman: Dark Prince Charming. I want to draw this more, and I want to eventually cosplay this.

Day 27: Thunder

I play Pokémon Go, and my eevelutions are always my favorites. Jolteon gets the job done, y’all. This was a quick sketch focusing on the thick brush lines then colored using Tombow Dual Brush Pen #055

Day 28: Gift

Poor Vicki

Joker again, this time threatening Vicki Vale in Tim Burton’s 1989 film Batman starring Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson. Still one of my favorite scenes.

So far, so good! I got some extra artwork in this week as well. I want to get back to it, but I don’t yet feel I can count it toward Day 20’s prompt Breakable until it’s finished. Do you have any pieces that are taking longer than anticipated?
