Horror Review: Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019)

Godzilla. The king himself. You don’t get much better than this when it comes to kaiju (giant monsters/nature spirits) battles.

I’m so ready for this!

The creature design and the battles are just stunning. Director Michael Dougherty was very particular about the designs and updating the kaiju without losing the classic appearance and silhouette. It really pays off.

King Ghidorah just looks amazing, and the movement and behavior is on point.

Rodan was and still is my favorite, and his update channels his resemblance to a firebird!
Check out that Mothara design! So much sleeker than what we’ve seen in the past.

Honestly, thank you Toho Studios for letting us play with your kaiju. I’m looking forward to any movie that follows this up.
