Inktober 2018: Week 3

This was a rough week because much of it was spent prepping for the 2018 Fall Festival on Ponce in Atlanta. I did what I could though!

Extra drawings this week:

Concept sketches for Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn and Jared Leto’s Joker

Inktober Day 15: Weak

Prompt 15: Weak

It seemed appropriate for a defeated Joker to respond to this prompt. I’m pretty sure he resents Batman looking at him like a naughty child instead of as an equal.

Inktober Day 16: Angular

Dr. Jonathan Crane aka The Scarecrow

I wanted to do glasses, then realized it was more fun if I did Dr. Jonathan Crane wearing them.

HiWitchtober Day 17: Creature

Experimenting with combining human and reptilian features.

“Billy: Why, Croc? Why’d you turn on us like that? We could’ve helped you. We could’ve done something.

Killer Croc: You said you could be yourself out here, remember? I guess that’s what I was doing. Being myself.”

Batman: The Animated Series, “Sideshow”

Waylon Jones aka Killer Croc sees himself as a monster, but he’s really the product of a cruel society and abuse. There are so many different designs for Bat-villains, and it really was fun experimenting with mixing human and reptilian features.

Inktober Day 18: Bottle

All I could think of here was the genie in a bottle, and that got he thinking of I Dream if Jeannie for some reason! This is my take on her.

Inktober Day 19: Scorched

“It’s over 9000!”

Quick doodle of a person being annihilated. It came out looking like something from Dragonball Z.

Inktober Day 20 and 21: incomplete

Final thoughts:

Although I got lots of other work in this week, it was hard to get anything in for the prompts over the weekend. I need to just take a day or two and focus on catching up.
