When Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) takes it upon himself to train velociraptors from birth, he finds himself the new alpha pf a pack. Delta fights alongside her sisters Blue, Charlie, and Echo to protect Owen from the threat of Indominus Rex.
I began working on Delta during the 2019 Callanwolde Festival in Atlanta, Georgia in January. It got lots of people interested in my process and eager for a full video. Shout out to the super coolTarafay217 on Instagram for videoing me at work during the festival — it’s impossible to film on location, at least for me.

I really have enjoyed working on the Raptor Squad. It’s so satisfying when kids recognize Blue or any of the others. That’s how I know I’m doing my job right. If kids can’t tell which dinosaur I’ve drawn, I know I made a mistake! I only have Charlie left, then the Velociraptor Squad will be complete. I just have to give myself a good break between these intensive dinosaur illustration for the sake of my hands.
