2020 Festival: Callanwolde Artist Market

I’m excited to return to the beautiful Callanwolde mansion in a few days for the annual Callanwolde Artist Market. Last year was my debut there, and this year will be my second time. I’ve been working hard to create some beautiful work for viewing and purchase. Here are a smattering of pieces you can find there!

Dinosaur Eye Jewelry Sets

I’ve shared plenty of information about my process for my dinosaur eye pendants, and I’ve had plenty of customers ask if I ever planned to take them further. I followed up with Dino eye phone charms, but now I’m introducing earrings too. At Callanwolde, I’ll debut coordinated pendant and earring boxed sets. I’m incredibly excited about it!

Large and Small Paintings

“Clocktower” acrylic on canvas

I have a whole collection of watercolor, acrylic, and mixed media paintings I’m bringing to the festival, some of which have never been to a show.

“Clocktower,” painted plein air at the McDonough, GA square, is a particularly huge painting. Using metallic paints, it looks good in any light.

Resin Art

Egyptian Collection resin pendants with gold leaf.

Thanks to a generous coupon from PuDuo resin, I was motivated to test and practice my resin art. Expanding my fluid art skills, I ended up creating jewelry, notebooks, and some other goodies. My Patrons got an advance peek, but I’m very excited to see how people react to seeing them in person. Pictures just don’t do them justice.

Fan Art

“In the Deadlights,” watercolor, ink, and colored pencil on paper

I’m also bringing some sweet fan art. Pennywise was a big hit at Walker-Stalker, and I can’t wait to see how people react to him this time!

Callanwolde Artist Market 2020

Proceeds from booth fees and tickets support Callanwolde Fine Arts Center, a renovated 1920s mansion in the heart of Atlanta.

The Callanwolde Artist Market is a unique experience for guests of all ages with a range of art styles and artists on hand. It houses impressive griunds, architecture, and even an antique organ built into the very walls. According to their website, “The event features over 70 artists working in a variety of media. Artists will have display spaces throughout the 1920 Callanwolde mansion … Each day of the Market we will have various food, dessert, cafe, and bar refreshments available.”

The Artist Market will kick off with a Preview Party on Friday (Feb 7th, 6PM to 9PM), and then continues onto Saturday (Feb 8th, 10AM – 5PM) and Sunday (Feb 9th, 11AM – 5PM)!

It’s definitely an event worth attending. Drop by and visit us in the library alongside some of my fellow artists. I hope to see you there!
