Description
The staple of Japanese folklore, the slit-mouthed woman was mutilated by her husband or boyfriend. Now she roams the streets searching for new victims. Wearing a surgical mask, she asks if her target finds her pretty. If they respond incorrectly, she reveals her terrifying face and attacks. Part of my Onryō series.
Matted and poly-bagged watercolor and ink painting on 100% cotton paper with backer board. Hand signed, titled, and dated on the back. Unmatted painting measures 5″ x 8”.
